Coed Steep Skiing Camp in Alta, Utah with Kim & Pep Fujas

Steep Skiing Camps, also offered in Telluride/Silverton, are designed to help advanced and expert skiers who have the ability to ski challenging terrain, but lack the confidence to take it to the next level. The 4-day camp provides a safe and controlled environment to work on techniques and skills that build confidence to take on bigger terrain. In addition to solid skiing techniques, the camp will cover mountain awareness recognizing hazards, snow safety, self arrest, hiking with skis and packs, traversing, cornice management, reading terrain and much more.

Alta’s large variety of slopes allow for terrain progressions suitable to different comfort levels.

This year, pro skier Pep Fujas is teaming up with Kim to coach the Steep Camp at Alta, where he has been skiing for the last 13 years. Recognized as one of the most respected ski athletes in the world, Pep is known for his versatile style-playful and fluid in all types of terrain. He has traveled the world skiing the steepest terrain and will bring a unique perspective to the Alta Steep Camp.

To keep the group moving and get valuable information throughout the camp, space is limited to 12 guests, shared among Kim, Pep and two patrollers to ensure individual attention and improvement.

After four days in Alta, Kim and Pep will ensure each Steep Camp skier will walk away with confidence, knowledge, and a smile on their face, ready to take on bigger terrain.  The host hotel, the Rustler Lodge, is Alta’s finest ski-in ski-out, with a cozy atmosphere, superb services, and amenities including pool, Jacuzzis, and spa services. Breakfasts and dinners are included in the Rustler Lodge package, leaving plenty of time to relax and enjoy good company.

Everyone Loves the Alta Steep Skiing Camp

“When you combine the extremely high quality of ski guiding and instruction with the magnificence of Alta Ski Resort and the ridiculously fun group of skiers that Kim seems to attract it could very well be the best 4 days of skiing you’ll have all year. It was for me.“
