Thank you so much for everything. I must say your passion shows with all you do and I for one am a much better skier and person because of it. While you fine tuned my skiing and helped get my confidence to where it needed to be to ski better, you and the entire group taught me the importance of being an empowered woman. This was more than a ski experience, it was a spiritual one as well.

Ski Aspen

Aspen Ski Area

Dates: January 20-23, 2012 | February 17-20, 2012 | March 1-4, 2012.

Aspen ski group

Kim’s winter home is Aspen, Colorado and there is nothing she likes better than guiding, teaching and entertaining on Aspen Mountains. With three resorts to choose from there is plenty of terrain and some of the finest on-mountain dining in the world. The wide open groomed slopes of Snowmass are a wonderful place to just relax and ski. Our host shop, Gorsuch, is located at the base of the Ajax gondola where we will meet each morning for a cup of coffee and equipment needs. If you are just learning, getting back into it after some time off or stuck in that intermediate rut, Kim and Aspen local and world class skier Dave Stapleton will share their years of knowledge and experience to help you take your skiing to the next level. Groups are divided by ability and aggressiveness so you will not be pushed too hard or stuck standing around waiting for others. Kim respects your vacation time and will help you make the most of it.

Aspen Ski Chairlift

Background:

Aspen/Snowmass is among the most popular ski destinations in the Western U.S. Nestled high in the Elk Mountain range of the Rockies, Aspen and its sister town of Snowmass Village, service four major ski areas: Aspen, Snowmass, Highlands and Buttermilk – easily the highest concentration of skiing anywhere in Colorado. The surrounding peaks are some of Colorado’s most picturesque, and offer a massive playground for winter activities. The region provides a free shuttle between areas, so you can enjoy the mountain of your choice regardless of where you stay in the valley.

Accommodations:

With so many options for accommodations we leave the choice up to you. If you choose to stay in the town of Aspen we suggest you stay within walking distance of the gondola. The Little Nell, Sky Hotel and St. Regis are all great choices. The Aspen Square has kitchens if you would like that option. The group will ski both Aspen/Ajax and Highlands during the 4 day clinic.

Getting There:

Aspen/Snowmass is one of the most accessible Rocky Mountain resorts, with hundreds of weekly non-stop and connecting flights into Aspen, Eagle and Denver airports. Located just three miles from Aspen and six miles from Snowmass Village, Aspen Airport (ASE) is the most conveniently located winter resort airport in the world. Eagle County Airport (EGE) is located 70 miles from Aspen/Snowmass. Shuttle service, private limousines, and rental cars are available at the Eagle County Airport.

In their Words:
“My trip with Kim was my first time back on the slopes in over 20 years — and it couldn’t have been better! Although I was rather apprehensive initially, Kim and her team of experts made me feel safe and comfortable right away, helping me with boot-fitting, custom insoles (I’m over-pronated), and the right starter skis and terrain. Whenever challenges faced me, Kim helped me reach for success while having fun. My first SkiwithKim adventure was the trip of a lifetime, and for me the beginning of a lifetime of trips. I am now totally hooked again on a sport I love, and look forward to many years of skiing with her! ”
