Women’s Ski Adventures is a world-renowned program offering women a chance to ski in a fun, safe, laid back and encouraging setting with other female skiers while taking their skiing abilities to the next level. Kim tailors each group, intentionally keeping them small, and organizes them by ability level so each group gets personalized attention. Private photo/video feedback from hand picked guides who are best-matched for the group, creates a trusted and fun environment where skiers enjoy themselves. The improvement of skills, motivation and support throughout the week builds confidence in women on and off the hill. 

COED helicopter + Resort skiing

Ski with Kim and Sun Valley Heli-Ski are world-renowned programs offering skiers a chance to resort and helicopter ski in a fun, safe and professional environment while taking your skiing abilities to the next level. The trip is limited to 7 advanced and expert skiers led by Kim and professional guides from Sun Valley Heli-ski (SVHS). The week includes three days of heli-skiing and two days of resort skiing focusing on skiing untracked powder. The improvement of skills, motivation and support throughout the week builds confidence for future helicopter skiing adventures. 

With Sun Valley Heli-ski we’ll enjoy the spectacular Idaho backcountry with the first Heli ski operator in America including exclusive helicopter access to an amazing playground of 750,000 square acres, by far the largest Heli terrain in the lower 48. 

BACKGROUND OF IDAHO

Sun Valley was an anomaly in 1936 and still is 80 years later, retaining a distinctive character that sets it apart from just about every other major ski resort in the country. Sun Valley's rich winter sports history - this was literally the nation’s first destination ski resort, with the world’s first chairlifts, where the very idea of the American ski vacation was born. Sun Valley changed the paradigm, and immediately became a hot spot for the biggest celebrities, the most important VIPs, and the world’s best skiers and they have all been coming back ever since.

Location:  Located in central Idaho, Sun Valley Resort shares the town of Ketchum in the Wood River Valley at 5,800 feet.  177 miles east of Boise, Idaho and just 14 miles from Hailey's Friedman Memorial Airport.

ACCOMODATIONS & GETTING THERE

Accommodations: The Limelight is conveniently located right on Main Street in the heart of downtown Ketchum. It offers laid-back luxury rooms, an extensive breakfast buffet, outdoor pools, hot tubs and a lively après ski with local entertainment. As our host hotel, the Limelight is the gathering spot for the welcome reception, transfers and après ski parties daily. 

Ability Levels

women’s ski adventure:

The Sun Valley Women’s Ski Adventure is for intermediate to expert skiers. You must be comfortable on all blue runs to attend this clinic. If you are looking to improve your technique, confidence and ability level you will accomplish these goals and more at this Sun Valley clinic. If you are just looking for fun people to ski and share time with, this too is the appropriate trip for you. If you are a beginner and would like to join us, we will arrange a private instructor for you. You will be included in all activities and benefits of the clinic. Please contact us for details. 

Coed Helicopter + resort skiing

The Sun Valley Resort/Heli-ski trip is for advanced and expert skiers. You must have some experience skiing powder or be comfortable on double black diamonds in a resort. If you are looking to ski untracked powder, build your confidence on off piste terrain and increase your overall ability level you will accomplish these goals and more on this Sun Valley trip.  If you are just looking for fun people to ski and share time with this too is the appropriate trip for you. The current team of guides is unsurpassed in offering over 100 years of collective experience; a testimony to the level of dedication and professionalism that distinguish SVHS as the preeminent US Heli-ski operation. 

Equipment

Women’s Ski Adventure:

Women’s Ski Adventures address individual equipment needs, including boots, skis, helmets, goggles and all accessories. Having equipment dialed is a big part the learning process as well as a confidence booster. If you are interested in buying equipment, Kim’s staff will help you, ensuring your buying decision is the right one. Video review during our private après ski is extremely helpful in learning about equipment, as skiers will also learn how the right equipment makes skiing easier and more fun. 

Coed helicopter + resort Skiing:

Guests are provided with Mammut RAS rocker 18l air-packs and brand-new state of the art Mammut avalanche transceivers. Powder skis are needed and can be rented for anyone needing powder specific skis.

Dates published are on snow. Plan to arrive the day before and depart after skiing on the last day or the next day.
